NAIFA-FL: Legislative Day-On-The-Hill 2010

Attending the NAIFA-Florida Legislative Day-On-The-Hill, March 8 & 9, 2010, is your opportunity to participate in the political process and visit your state Legislators to underscore the importance of insurance and financial advisors in the marketing and sales of insurance and financial products.

Schedule of Activities

Monday, March 8
*11:30am: Day-On-The-Hill luncheon (for members only, please) at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center featuring legislative and DFS speakers, as well as helpful instructions and “talking points” concerning your appointments with your legislators.

* 2:00-5:00pm: Appointments with your legislators, which you set before your arrival in Tallahassee (see below). Observe the House or Senate in committee meetings or in session.

*5:30-7:00pm: Annual reception with fellow NAIFA-Florida members and our state legislators on the 22nd Floor of the Capitol.

Schedule Appointments
Contact your local association leaders and coordinate appointments for legislators in your district (House or Senate). When in Tallahassee we encourage you to visit them with other members of your local association delegation.

Lodging
The Cabot Lodge is our host hotel. The Cabot Lodge is located at the I-10 Thomasville Road exit at 1653 Raymond Diehl Road. The room rate is $81, king or double and includes a continental breakfast and cocktails in the evening. Make reservations by calling (850) 386-7500, and tell them you are with NAIFA-Florida to get our group rate. Important: Our room block cut off date is February 21, 2010. After this date, neither the rate or room availability can be guaranteed.

Registration
$95 before Feb. 20, 2010; $115 after Feb. 20, 2010. No refunds after March 3, 2010. You may pay by check, MasterCard or VISA. Sorry, due to the demand only NAIFA-Florida members may participate. Non-member spouses, however, are invited to attend Monday evening’s reception at the Capitol for a pre-paid fee of $50 for which pre-registration is required before February 20, 2010.
