11:00 am - 1:30 pm: Herb Morgan Memorial Luncheon at the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center. Our Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater has been invited to be the keynote speaker and will review current legislative issues. NAIFA-Florida Lobbyist Tim Meenan will also update attendees on our association’s advocacy efforts to protect members from the “perfect political storm”: Health Care Reform, Tax Reform and Regulatory Reform.
2:00 - 4:30 pm: Appointments with Representatives and Senators from your district at the Capitol which are set before your arrival by your local association.
4:30 - 5:30 pm: Bonus session: Health Care Reform and PIP Reform – The Capitol. Discussion will focus on how the Federal Health Care Reform and PIP legislation will affect Florida’s agents, businesses and consumers.
5:30 - 7:00 pm: Legislative Reception, 22nd Floor of the Capitol.
