Feldman recipient of NAIFA’s top award

One of NAIFA-Florida’s very own members was recently awarded the life insurance industry’s most significant award. Marvin H. Feldman, CLU, ChFC, RFC, received the John Newton Russell Memorial Award at the recently concluded NAIFA National Conference, in Washington, D.C. Marvin is the President of the Feldman Financial Group, in Clearwater, Florida, and is also the President and CEO of the Life Foundation, in Washington, D.C.

Feldman’s stellar career began after graduation from Ohio State University, in 1967, and features many highlights including: 37 year member of the Million Dollar Round Table, including MDRT President in 2002; member of the elite Top of the Table for 29 years, including serving as Chairman; awarded Circle of Life, in 2004, in recognition of industry and community involvement; Secretary of New York Life’s Agent Advisory Council; named to Insurance Newscast’s 100 most powerful people in the insurance industry of North America; and many more too numerous to mention here. Marvin has given speeches in 34 countries and has served numerous civic and charitable causes.

The John Newton Russell Memorial Award is given to the individual who has rendered service to the institution of life insurance “above and beyond the call of duty.” As the award’s 70th recipient, Feldman was given an engrossed citation, a beautiful plaque, and a Steuben crystal “Excalibur.” His name will be added to a bronze plaque of past Russell Award honorees at NAIFA Headquarters, in Falls Church, Virginia.

The award was established by John Newton Russell, in 1942, as a tribute to his father who had a distinguished career in the industry and who was very active in NAIFA.
